Online Video Advertising set to grow

Google adds online video ad exchange
This year online video advertising will shoot up by a third, and the category is expected to account for one-fifth of all online display advertising. Little wonder, then, that Google wants to get into the business. The online giant has confirmed that it’s launching a long-anticipated video marketplace within its existing DoubleClick Ad Exchange, the Wall Street Journal reports. The system will work much the same as Google’s display advertising selling business, with advertisers permitted to place bids in real time. According to eMarketer, online video ad revenue hit $1.5 billion last year and will rise to $2 billion next year.
