Yet Another Reason to use Facebook

Imagine you sell Kumquats, and you have an active Facebook page for you Kumquat store. You’ve been very diligent in getting people to “Like” your Facebook page, and get nice recommendations from your customers.

Starting May 17, these recommendations will show up when people search using “Bing,” are signed into their Facebook accounts, and have a friend who “likes” your Facebook page.

So, I search “Kumquats Fort Wayne,” and your store shows up second or third in my Bing search. But unlike other results, your listing has recommendations from people I may know. This is a very powerful way to get people to click on your site and buy your Kumquats.

This is how the Social Media game is played. It’s only going to get more interesting. Get on board now.
